I used to spend a bit of time with junior rowers on the river at Clive, Napier. Often I would be on the water in the very early morning or late in the afternoon, and the light on the water was frequently breathtaking. This lovely stretch of water has seen the emergence of some of New Zealand's top rowers. The delightful Emma Twigg first put her hands to an oar here.

No tuition, no art classes - this artist came to wield a brush following a vehicle accident and some tough times. Despondent, he turned to God with the question, "What next?"
