Jerusalem breathes antiquity like no other city I’ve been in. Walking the streets is a deeply enriching experience for the walls and paths are scarred with stories told and untold and the clamour of the walls fills the ears with both song and lament. As I walked this narrow, warmly lit street, I chanced upon this group hurrying to the Harva Synagogue.
Works In Watercolour showcases the superb watercolour paintings and photography of Russell Perry from Otago, New Zealand.
No tuition, no art classes - this artist came to wield a brush following a vehicle accident and some tough times. Despondent, he turned to God with the question, "What next?"
The resultant paintings have astounded many. The work is polished, vibrant, sound of colour and construction, and celebratory of God the Creator.
